Hey Guy's, now a days, internet has become a precious part of everyone's lifestyle, but so many of us do not know about it's wideness. So here we will explain you about world wide Web in a very simple & regular language.

First of all let's talk a bit about the internet.. Internet is made up of billions of devices connected together and share information all over the world.

Internet is divided into three separate sections, & these are -

1 ) Surface Web
2 ) Deep Web
3 ) Dark web

So here in the very beginning of this article we will talk about Surface Web.

SURFACE WEB

Surface Web ( also know as Visible Web, Indexed Web, Indexable Web or Lightnet ) is that portion of internet which is openly available for each & every user of the internet world wide at standard search engines such as Google, Yahoo, UC Browser, etc.

Anytime, anywhere & Without any special permission, any user can access the data present in surface web. It is basically available for public use.

The Surface Web is made with a collection of static pages. These are Web pages that are in a server, available to be accessed by any search engine.

For example all the entertainment websites, music websites, sports websites, Games, songs & movies downloading websites, torrents, etc. are present here. Wikipedia's are also a part of surface web.

You may be shocked to know that the Surface Web only consists 10 percent of the total information that is present on the internet.

Amazing Fact :

According to one source, as of June 14, 2015, Google's index of the surface web contains about 14.5 billion pages.

Deep Web

DEEP WEB

Also known as invisible web or hidden web.
It is that portion of internet which is not indexed at search engines. It's common uses are private work like Internet banking. Web mail, obviously if you've sent an information to someone via mail, you would not like to show it on search engines. 

Other uses are paid services given on website's, untill you will not pay for it, you will not get it.

It may be accessed by direct URL or IP ADDRESS if  you have it. Or if it is present at the page of a website, a particular person can access it by using his username, passwords, etc. given to him by the business owners/ officials to access it.

Data present in the database of scientific research labs, legal information of the country, etc. are placed here as no one can access this information from here without the permission of government.

Basically it is that portion of internet which is made private to some particular people, & anyone can not see this information

Dark Web

DARK WEB

Dark web is the most dangerous portion of internet, which cannot be accessed through standard search engines like Google, Yahoo, etc.

The main reason behind it is that, here everyone is anonymous.

The Website holders, Website developers, visitor's, etc. Everyone is unknown & untraceable. Access to some of its website's needs some particular software's, that's why such kind of websites are not accessible by all.

Due to such reasons, now it is a giant platform of illegal business activities. Every kind of illegal business such as drug trade, human trafficking, abuse, illegal wepons, etc. 

Tor Browser

Tor browser is a browser through which, websites of dark web could be accessed. On the dark web so many website's have a domain called .onion, & these sites could be accessed by tor browser. This leads to a confusion in people that tor browser is illegal. But it is not true, tor browser is completely legal, &. You may use if for your regular work.

Now the question comes that is it safe to visit dark web. The answer is No, not at all.

The reason behind this is that, so many criminal hackers are there on dark web. If you will visit a website, anything could happen, your computer could be hacked, & as you know that almost every activity is untraceable on darkweb. So it is not at all advisable to visit dark web.
